    Upcoming films of Prabhas

    The Raja Saab

    The Raja Saab is an upcoming romantic comedy horror film starring Prabhas in the main lead. It is the first lighthearted film of Prabhas since Baahubali happened to him. Since 2015 and Baahubali, Prabhas has only featured in big films. Alongside Prabhas, The Raja Saab also stars Nidhi Agerwal, Malvika Mohanlal, Sanjay Dutt, Yogi Babu, Riddhi Kumar, Vennela Kishore, Jisshu Sengupta and Brahmanandam among others.

    The official budget of The Raja Saab is over 400 crores which is enormously high considering it’s not a big film. But it is a Prabhas film. with a budget of 400 crores, Prabhas will most likely take home at least 200 crores as his remuneration. The Raja Saab is set to release in April 2025. Prabhas is presently filming the movie in Hyderabad. The Raja Saab will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi.

    Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam

    Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam aka Salaar 2 is the upcoming film of Prabhas. Salaar 2 is a sequel to the 2023 film Salaar: Part 1. Upon its release in December 2023, Salaar: Part 1 received mixed to positive reviews and emerged as one of the highest grossing Indian films ever. Salaar: Part 1 earned over 800+ crores globally. Salaar: Part 2 is one of the most anticipated Indian films.

    Besides Prabhas, all the actors who are featured in the first part will reprise their roles in the second part of the film. Salaar: Part 2 stars Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Easwari Rao, Shruti Hassan, Tinnu Anand, Devaraj, Brahmaji, John Vijay and Ramana among others. The shooting of Salaar: Part 2 began in August 2024. The film is set to release in 2026. Both parts of the films are presented by the makers of the KGF film franchise, Prashant Neel and Hombale Films.

    Spirit

    Spirit is the most anticipated and biggest film of Prabhas. It is scheduled to be released in 2026. Spirit is produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and it is written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

    Sandeep Reddy Vanga is known for directing and writing films like Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, and Animal. His 2023 directional film ‘Animal’ starring Ranbir Kapoor is one of the biggest Indian films ever. The film received mixed to positive reviews and emerged as one of the highest grossing Indian films ever. While Ranbir Kapoor received widespread admiration for his performance, Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Animal received criticism.

    One can imagine what kind of a film Sandeep Reddy Vanga will make with Prabhas. It is rumored that popular American and South Korean actor Ma Dong might make his debut with Spirit alongside Prabhas.

    Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2

    Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2 is scheduled to be released in 2027. It is an epic scientific film. Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2 is a direct sequel to Kalki 2898 AD: Part 1.

    Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2 will feature all of the actors who are featured in the first part. The film stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan, Disha Patani, Brahmanandam and Rajendra Prasad among others. Several new actors will join the remaining cast for different characters.

    Kalki 2898 AD: Part 1 is presently the highest grossing Indian film of 2024. The film has earned over 1300+ globally. upon its release, Kalki 2898 AD: Part 1 received widespread critical acclaim and rave reviews for its story, editing, direction, graphics, and VFX. Prabhas and especially Amitabh Bachchan received praise for their performance.

    While filming the first part, the cast and crew of Kalki have already shot 60 to 70 percent of the second part. The movie is ready to be released but it will only release in 2027.

    Films that are announced but shooting has not begin

    The other upcoming films of Prabhas are Fauji, and Kannappa, and a three film deal with Hombale Films.

    The producers of the KGF and Salaar franchise signed a three film deal with Prabhas. Salaar Part 1 is released. Besides that, Prabhas is doing three more films with the production company Hombale Films. One film of the three film deal would be Salaar Part 2. The title of the other two films is not revealed yet. Prabhas is receiving remuneration of over 600 crores for his three film deal with Hombale Films. 200 crore per film.

    Kannappa is an upcoming film starring Vishnu Manchu in the lead role. The film features Prabhas in an extended guest appearance.

    Fauji is an upcoming periodic film starring Prabhas in the lead. It will be directed by Hanu Raghavpudi. The film is just announced yet and might take a few years to release.

    We earlier reported to you that Indian movie superstar Salman Khan has left Mumbai to shoot for his upcoming massive film. Salman Khan has arrived in Hyderabad to shoot for his upcoming film. A four layer security has been placed in Hyderabad where Salman Khan is shooting.

    Salman Khan is presently shooting for Sikandar. Sikandar is an upcoming massive film starring Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj among others. The film is produced by Bollywood filmmaker and Salman Khan’s close friend Sajid Nadiadwala. Sikandar is directed by highly successful South film director A R Murugadoss. The film is set to release in March 2025.

    The team of Sikandar, principally Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna are presently shooting the film at the Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad. The Taj Falaknuma Palace is one of the world’s most popular 5-star hotels situated in Hyderabad, India. It is one of the biggest hotels in the world.

    The team of Sikandar has been shooting at the Taj Falaknuma Palace for a week now. They will be shooting the film at the hotel for several weeks more.

    According to the report, a four layer security service has been provided to Salman Khan at the hotel.

    A four layer or 4-tier security has been plated around Salman Khan. The four layer security service consists of Salman Khan’s privately hired bodyguard, Shera (Salman Khan’s close associate and bodyguard) Shera’s bodyguard from his security agency, security personnel of agencies.

    Salman Khan is shooting for his film with over 100 security personnel. Salman Khan’s motorcade has over 25+ vehicles.

    During his free time from shooting the film, Salman Khan is not allowed to leave the hotel and travel anywhere near or meet his friends from the Telugu Film Industry who reside in Hyderabad.

    The Taj Falaknuma Palace is currently under the surveillance of Salman Khan’s security team. The Taj Falaknuma Palace is presently not functional to other tourists or guests. The entire hotel is presently reserved for a month for the makers of the film. The Hyderabad shooting schedule of Sikandar will be wrapped up by the end of the November month. Afterward, the team of Sikandar will leave for Europe to shoot the film.

    Salman Khan’s security team and the entire cast and crew members of Sikandar consist of over 300+ individuals who are residing at the hotel.

  • Devara Movie Review: Long And Exhausting

    Jr NTR is one of the biggest names in India. He is one of the most successful and loved actors in the South. He is a South actor and one of the highest-paid actors in India. His recent film ‘Devara Part 1’ has just been released on Netflix and is trending in the Top 10 in India.

    Devara Part 1

    Devara Part 1 is a 2024 Telugu drama periodic film starring Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. The film also features Prakash Raj, Jhanvi Kapoor, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Murali Sharma, and Zarina Wahabh among others.

    Devara Part 1 was released globally on 27 September 2024. Upon its release, Devara Part 1 received mixed to positive reviews but emerged as a commercial success. It is a two part film.

    Devara Part 1 earned over 170+ crores on its opening day and grossed over 400 crores worldwide. The digital rights of the film were sold to Netflix for a whopping 150 crores.

    Devara Part 1 Review

    Devara Part 1 could have been an extraordinary film. The film Devara had a new and interesting subject and story. However, there are quite a few faults in the film.

    The run time for Devara Part 1 is too long. The movie is almost 3 hours long and fails to entertain viewers for that long. There should have been a comic relief. But Devara completely focuses on Jr NTR’s dual character of father and son. Also, the film needed a 20-minute trimming.

    Saif Ali Khan is a total waste in the film. He is not exploited well. He has the lead role as the main antagonist but in the film, his character takes the back seat. His character should have been more fearless and audacious.

    Jhanvi Kapoor was announced to play the female lead in the film. Everyone went to theatres expecting to see more of Jhanvi Kapoor and Jr NTR. But Jhanvi Kapoor is seen in an extended cameo appearance. She just has a 15-minute cameo with two songs. Instead of superfluous songs, there should have been a comedy sequence featuring Jr NTR and Jhanvi Kapoor.

    Jr NTR justifies his role. He essays the dual role of father and son. For the father role, Jr NTR did full justice to his character. He looked amazing. His sequences were solid. But Jr NTR’s portrayal of the son character was a big letdown.

    Devara Part 1 is directed by Koratala Siva. The writing of the film is weak, the editing is decent and the screenplay and direction miss the mark. The climax is puzzling at times. The film gets exhausting as the film progresses. Though the visual graphics and VFX of the film are brilliant.

    Devara Part 1 is available to watch on Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages. The film will be available in Hindi soon.

    Devara Part 1 has received mixed reviews and hasn’t achieved extraordinary business at the box office. The budget of the film is over 300 crores. Though the makers have recovered the budget but audience’s perception regarding the film will worry the makers.

    Devara is a two-part film. Devara Part 2 is confirmed by the makers. But will they go ahead with the second part? Devara Part 1 has not lived up to expectations and not many are interested or waiting for the second part.

    Fans of Jr NTR and audiences on social media have rejected Devara Part 2. Jr NTR is been asked to leave the film and do another film.

    Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, and Manju Warrier will reprise their role in the second part of the film. The film will feature several new characters played by new Hindi, Malayalam, and Telugu actors.

    The budget of L2: Empuraan is over 300 crores becoming the most expensive Malayalam film. L2: Empuraan will be released in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.

    L2: Empuraan is shot in many countries.. The film is entering its final shooting schedule in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Shimla. The film is produced by the leading production company of Tamil Films, Lyca Productions.

    Prithviraj Sukumaran has confirmed that there will be a final and third part of the franchise.

    Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan flopped at the box office

    Rajinikanth’s 2024 film Vettaiyan has emerged as a box office flop. This was unexpected and came as a huge shock because Rajinikanth’s last 2023 film ‘J’ was a blockbuster.

    Vettaiyan is an investigation film written and directed by T. J. Gnanavel. Vettaiyan had one of the greatest stars cast any film could have. The film starred Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Kishore, and Dushara Vijayan. These are an exceptional bunch of actors. Imagine having someone like Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati in a movie and still the movie failing to work.

    Vettaiyan Movie Review

    Vettaiyan is great but could have been extraordinary and a winner at the box office.

    The story of Vettaiyan is fresh and thoughtful but seems unimpressive. The screenplay looked a bit jumbled and the climax was underwhelming. The movie didn’t have any incredible songs.

    The movie failed to present Rajinikanth as a gigantic protagonist. Rajinikanth seemed like a usual hero. He had no sight of a superstar. His intro scene and song were quite ordinary. The climax was mediocre. Rajinikanth’s 2023 film J worked only because of the heroism shown by the character and the amazing background music and song for him. He looked like a superstar in the film.

    Fahadh Faasil is regarded as one of the greatest actors in India. Look at Fahadh Faasil’s character in the Telugu film ‘Pushpa’ and compare it with his character in Vettaiyan. Fahadh Faasil was in Vettaiyan for the comic relief. Fahadh Faasil may have signed this film to work with Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, otherwise, there is no point in him doing such characters. He is a leading superstar. The makers of Vettaiyan should have signed any other actor for this character.

    Rana Daggubati looked weak and uninterested in his character. He should have given more screen time and his character should have given more fearlessness. Rana Daggubati looked very ordinary in the film. Bobby Deol had just a 30 minutes presence in ‘Animal’ but he left a great impact. The same was required from Rana Daggubati in Vettaiyan.

    Only Amitabh Bachchan did justice to his role. Amitabh Bachchan looked convincing and excessive in his character.

    Vettaiyan is more of an investigative than an entertaining film. The film failed to present Rajinikanth to his essential potential. As a result, Vettaiyan received mixed to positive reviews but underperformed at the box office. According to the reports, the producers of the film have suffered a great loss and they have requested Rajnikanth to do another film with them and reduce his acting fees.

    Rajnikanth will be seen next in the 2025 film ‘Coolie’. Coolie is the film that will present Rajnikanth as a true big superstar. Rajnikanth’s character in Coolie is the one to watch out. The film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj who is known for directing films like Leo, Vikram, Master, and Kaithi. Coolie is going to be a gamechanger Tamil film in 2025.

    Game Changer features Kiara Advani as the female lead. It is her third Telugu film and second film with Ram Charan. The film also stars an ensemble cast of S J Suryah, Anjali, Prakash Raj, Nassar, Samthuirakani, Srikant, Jayaram, Praveena, Murali Sharma, Sunil, Naveen Chandra, Rajeev Kanakala and Satya among all.

    Film Game Changer is produced by popular Telugu filmmaker Dil Raju. In 2021, when the film was officially announced, the budget of Game Changer was said to be around 200 to 250 crores. But in 2024, makers confirmed that the film’s budget has risen to almost 400 crores. The lead actor Ram Charan takes home a remuneration of around 100 crores while the lead actress Kiara Advani takes home a remuneration of around 10 to 12 crores.

    Game Changer will be released in several languages such as Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. Game Changer has faced numerous delays. The film was initially scheduled to be released in 2022 but was postponed to June 2023. Later the film got postponed to December 2023. But now the film is finally scheduled to release on 10 January 2025.

    TOX is an upcoming film starring an ensemble cast of Yash, Kiara Advani, Akshay Oberoi, Huma Qureshi, and Nayanthara among others. The film reportedly also features Kareena Kapoor Khan and her husband Saif Ali Khan. But their casting in the film is yet to be confirmed whereas Kiara Advani has already started shooting for the same.

    TOX is a large scale and high budget film. it is directed by critically acclaimed actress and director Geethu Mohandas. TOX is a Kannada film that will be released in Pan-India in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.

    As we speak, the film is currently being filmed in Karnataka and Mumbai. TOX was initially scheduled to release in 2025 but now according to the reports, the film may release by the end of 2026. The shooting of the film got delayed for numerous reasons.

    Yash and Kiara Advani

    Yash and Kiara Advani would be playing each other’s love interest in the film. TOX is Yash’s first film following the widespread and mammoth success of the KGF film franchise. Yash will be shooting for TOX for almost a year. It is a massive scale film that will be shot for one and a half years.

    For Kiara Advani, TOX is her third South Indian film. She was previously featured in the 2018 film Telugu film ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ opposite Mahesh Babu. Her second south film is the 2025 Telugu film ‘Game Changer’ opposite Ram Charan. The film is set to release on 10 January 2025.

    TOX is Kiara Advani’s third Pan-India film. Her upcoming film releases are Game Changer, W2 (2025) with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, and TOX (2026) with Yash. She will also play the lead actress role in D3 opposite Ranveer Singh.

    The budget of TOX is over 300 crores. Yash’s remuneration for TOX is almost 100-120 crores while Kiara Advani will be paid 12-15 crores.

    Yash today is one of the biggest superstars in the country. His last film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ earned over 1000 crores globally. Besides TOX, Yash will also be seen in Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari’s 2026 epic film RMY. Yash is the co-producer of the film alongside Namit Malhotra.

    There would be two parts of the RMY film. The first part will be released in 2026 with the second part again coming in 2027. After wrapping up RMY, Yash will begin the shooting of KGF Part 3.

    Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed that they have shot half the movie as of now. The shooting began at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad and they are presently shooting in Vishakhapatnam along with Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna. The shooting suffered a delay due to Rajinikanth’s health issue but will resume soon. Lokesh Kanagaraj added that Rajinikanth is the first one to arrive on sets and he is always on time.

    A few weeks ago, in several reports, it was reported that Aamir Khan is set to make his Tamil debut by doing a guest appearance with Rajinikanth in Coolie.

    Now, Lokesh Kanagaraj has finally spoken about this major casting. He neither denied nor confirmed Aamir Khan’s cameo in Coolie. He said that he can’t announce anything and it is the call of the production house to announce an actor or not.

    But, Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed that he has met Aamir Khan in Chennai and they have been discussing a collaboration which will definitely happen. He said that he is a fan of Aamir Khan and wants to work with him. He revealed that Aamir Khan called him to meet when he visited Chennai for his mother’s treatment. He also added that he watched ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and gave his true opinion to him about the film.

    Coolie is set to release globally in 2025 in IMAX formats. The music is composed by highly popular music composer and singer Anirudh Ravichander who has composed songs and background scores for movies like Jawan (2023), J (2023), Vikram (2022), Leo (2023), Master (2021) and Beast (2023).

    In September 2024 a major filming scene featuring Nagarjuna from the sets of Coolie was leaked online. The leak scene created a huge disagreement and disappointment for the makers of the film. Lokesh Kanagaraj requested everyone through his social media account not to share the leaked footage. He added that two months of hard work of hundreds of people got ruined due to the leaked footage.

    Coolie is produced on a whopping budget of 300 crores including a 100 crore remuneration of Rajinikanth. The digital rights of the film have been already purchased by Amazon Prime Video.

    Lokesh Kanagaraj has also confirmed his upcoming films Kaithi 2, Vikram 2, and Leo.

    Meiyazhagan is a drama film written and directed by C Prem Kumar. The film is produced by popular Tamil film actor Suriya and his wife also an actress Jyotika. Meiyazhagan stars Suriya’s younger brother Karthi and Arvind Swamy in the lead roles.

    Meiyazhagan tells the story of Arul played by Arvind Swamy and his childhood friend and relative Meiyazhagan played by Karthi.

    In 1996 owning to a financial dispute with his uncles, Arul along with his father leaves his hometown in Tamil Nadu. He hates the feeling of leaving his town and specially his house. He dearly misses it. Arul and his father permanently settle in Chennai after leaving their village.

    Twenty years later, Arul and his father receive wedding invitation of a close family member. They are requested to mark their presence at the wedding which is happening in the same village from where Arul left in childhood. Scared of getting nostalgic seeing his ancestral village and house, Arul finally arrives to attend the wedding.

    Arul attends the wedding and meets his relatives with whom he lost the contact. Later, Arul encounters Meiyazhagan, a relative and friend with home he spent his childhood. But Arul is not able to recognize Meiyazhagan and is unfamiliar to him. Throughout the wedding Arul tries to recognize him and try to know his name.

    Later, Arul misses his bus back to Chennai and spends an entire night with Meiyazhagan at his house. He meets his pregnant wife, his cow and develops a lovely emotional connection with everyone. Arul feels guilty of not being able to recognize Meiyazhagan and not being able to recall his name. Arul and Meiyazhagan recall their pleasing childhood memories.

    Meiyazhagan is a beautiful film about friendship, human values, old traditions, emotional connection and love. It is the perfect festive season family film.

    Meiyazhagan received widespread critical acclaim upon its release. The film did not perform financially well like other films but earned respectable numbers. Karthi and Arvind Swamy received praise for their performance.

The film is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and jointly produced by Tamil movie superstar Kamal Hassan.
